ROOT to Market is a low-cost procurement route that connects forward-thinking clients and contractors with the right consultants and suppliers to match their social value and climate change ambitions – under a shared vision of a regenerative, non-extractive future.

• Builds a social impact fund for the procuring community as the procurement takes place. This enables the procurer to decide how to invest the fund, removing the need for social value monetisation.
• Builds capacity in supply chains so that, over time, the construction value chain becomes less reliant on extractive practices, makes low carbon design choices and creates fair work for communities
• Includes all suppliers, regardless of size, by assessing them on registration on the platform and working with them to improve their sustainability credentials using training and Close the Gap plans
• Provides data for biogenic carbon storage as a carbon removal. This enables reporting against corporate carbon targets and provides Greenhouse Gas Removals (GGR) which are central to the UK’s Net Zero strategy. We can aggregate this carbon removal across multiple projects to enable the trading of stored carbon within assets being procured (estimated to be up to 2.5% of the procurement cost)
